I'm back!

Readers - I apologize for my long absence. It has just been super crazy around here. I survived the bar exam last week (it was terrible, but I survived) and now am anxiously waiting until September 13th for the results. My mom arrived in Columbia on Wednesday to start helping me back. Chris came up Thursday to load up a truck. We left Columbia Friday at 10:30 a.m. It was amazing feeling to cross back into Howell County and know that I am here to stay this time. We spent most of last weekend unpacking and organizing, but we still have lots to do. Combining two full households and deciding what to keep isn't exactly easy. We have boxes and boxes ready for a yard sale already.

This week has been super busy for us. I came back to work on Monday as an almost associate attorney and it feels amazing. My Rule 13 certification still carries through so I have been able to do quite a bit of work. I still have some organizing I need to do in my office but we are making it. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my law degree so I can get those babies framed and hung on the wall too. The weather has hit Chris really hard at work this week. Working 12 hour days in 100-110 degree heat is rough. He comes to the house after work and just collapses on the couch. But we have had dinner together evry night and life just seems perfect now that I am home.

Wedding planning is back in full swing as well. RSVP's are rolling in daily (checking the mail is like Christmas) and I am trying to finish little projects that I had started. The girls and I have our first dress fitting next week and I am so anxious to see my dress again. I have a few meetings set up with my vendors now that I am back. I need to get a hair and makeup trial done though and work on my day-of timeline. Chris and I also had our first pre-marital counseling session last night. Chris and I both really like the pastor who is marrying us. We like the fact that he wants to take the time to get to know us as people and as a couple. He is extremely easy to talk to, even for Chris who is naturally shy around people he doesn't know very well. We received some homework, but we are actaully looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks. We are always looking for ways to improve our relationship.

Centurylink was at our house on Tuesday hooking up our phone and internet, I just haven't had time to plug in the box to make sure it all works. Sounds like a perfect project for the weekend while I try to get everything else in my office unpacked and organized. I'm anxious to share pictures of the house now that we have furniture in every room.

Better get back to work. Have tons to do :)
